If you are into proper and serious techno, surely you have heard of PWCCA, his body of work spans across many labels out there, Warm Up, Newrhythmic, Modularz, Mord … to name but a few, and of course in our very own label with his Demons EP from 2020.
For this Ep he puts his machines at work again, providing five cuts of energized and rugged techno, starting with the track naming the EP, Active Impulse with asymmetrical and distorted percussive elements combined to create the initial tensioned groove, while the rest of the elements show up progressively as the bars go by. Floaty atmospheres and occasional bleeps spice up the recipe perfectly.
Inverse Frequency follows, hysterical sequences set the path from the very beginning with the aid of some hi frequency sweeps near the end. A solid mixing tool for a peak time moment at any proper club.
On Liquid State things go humid and smokey, designed for the first hours of the club, heavily dub influenced textures, resonant bleeps washed in delays and spacey details on top.
Series Reaction brings back the energy to the equation, EBM like sequences, lots of flanger and Phaser on sound processing with a crazy random synth line running over the top.
Solid State is the last exercise on this workout, going deep into mental territories, hypnotic and repetitive with an intelligent twist on the arrangement.
A varied collection of different techno moods that show again the mastery of this studio animal, proving why he is one of the fundamental names in the Spanish techno scene right now.

Para este EP, vuelve a poner sus máquinas en funcionamiento, brindando cinco cortes de techno energizado y rugoso, comenzando con la pista que da nombre al EP, Active Impulse. Cocinada a base de elementos de percusión asimétricos y distorsionados combinados para crear el ritmo tensionado inicial, mientras que el resto los componentes van apareciendo progresivamente a medida que van avanzando los compases. Las atmósferas flotantes y los bleeps ocasionales dan sabor extra a la receta.
Continuamos con Inverse Frequency,en la que secuencias histéricas marcan el camino desde el principio con la ayuda de algunos barridos de alta frecuencia cerca del final. Una herramienta de mezcla excelente para el momento pico en cualquier club adecuado.
En Liquid State, las cosas se vuelven húmedas y profundas, diseñadas para las primeras horas del club, texturas fuertemente influenciadas por el dub, pitidos resonantes bañados en delay y detalles espaciales en la parte superior del espectro sonoro
Series Reaction devuelve la energía a la ecuación, secuencias tipo EBM, mucho Flanger y Phaser en el procesamiento de sonido con una loca línea aleatoria de sintetizador que se extiende por encima del arreglo con maestría.
Solid State es el último ejercicio de este entrenamiento, profundizando en los territorios mentales, hipnótico y repetitivo con un giro inteligente en el arreglo.
Una variada colección de diferentes estados de ánimo dentro del techno que vuelven a dejar clara la maestría de este animal de estudio, demostrando por qué es uno de los nombres fundamentales en la escena española en este momento.
